About Art by Ori

My name is Ori Dinur, and for most of my life, my art did not live on canvas. It lived in theatre, writing, storytelling, and creating meaningful human experiences.

Painting was different. Whenever I tried, it felt like speaking a language I could feel but could not quite pronounce.

After 25 years in Los Angeles, I moved back home to Israel and found myself at a major turning point in my life. At 60, I chose to reinvent myself — not by going back to what I already knew, but by following something quieter, more playful, and completely unexpected.

I discovered neuro-art, doodling, and Zentangle-inspired drawing online. What started as a small experiment quickly became a new creative language. Within two months, I had created more than 50 paintings and drawings filled with color, movement, hidden faces, imperfect lines, and little worlds that seemed to appear on the page.

Art by Ori was born from that surprise.

Today, my original artwork is printed on everyday products — pieces you can wear, use, gift, decorate with, and make part of your personal style. The art is intentionally expressive rather than technically polished. Its imperfections are part of its character, its honesty, and its charm.
